In the Chernobyl accident, a series of operational errors during the turbine test by the operators led to the most serious nuclear leakage accident in history (Onisawa & Nishiwaki, 1988). To design a safe nuclear power control system, we need to consider not only the rationality of the operation, but also the HMI issues including reliability, convenience and comfort (Lagari et al., 2016). The nuclear power control system with great interaction effect can effectively reduce the physical and mental pressure of the operators, the complexity of observation data and the steps required for proper operation. Thereby it enhances the safety of the entire NPP. Thus, HMI in the control room is vital for successful design of future NPP control system.
