This work proposes a new procedurefor enhancing the monitoring ofindustrial processes in organizationswith highly integrated systems.Manufacturing Execution Systems(MES) permit an effective integrationbetween Enterprise Resource Planningsoftware and Flexible ManufacturingSystems at the shop floor. Based ona previously-developed integrationbetween these two systems, a MESlayer-based procedure for StatisticalProcess Control (SPC) is developed.This piece of software solves problemssuch as connectivity, data acquisitionand alarm-based data analysis basedon both control specifications andlimits and cause-analysis throughdecision trees. This work can be partof any process and does not requireany additional MES software, whichreduces costs and maintenance. Thissoftware was tested through anartificial-vision-based quality controlstation with mechanic parts automatedthrough an FMS system. |
