Contents: Mal de Meleda is a rare autosomal recessive skin disor-der characterized by palmoplantar keratoderma with 'glove and sock' distribution, keratotic skin lesions, pe-rioral erythema, brachydactyly and nail abnormalities. The efficacy of the oral retinoids in disorders of keratini-zation is well established. Herein, we present a 69 years old patient complainig about thickening of the skin of his palms and soles and diagnosed as Mal de Meleda and treated with acitretin.
