This is the story of how a therapist survived the experience of a treatment that at many points was devastating and unbearable. The therapist became aware of angels, or internally generated selfobjects of his favorite theorists. He discerned four different roles for these angels: helping understand the patient; supplying ideas of how to conduct treatment; legitimizing and protecting him from attack from other professionals; and especially, supporting him emotionally when events in the treatment pushed him to the limits of his endurance. This is illustrated in the case presentation. Esta es la historia de como un terapeuta sobrevivio la experiencia de un tratamiento que en muchos puntos fue devastador e intolerable. El terapeuta se fue haciendo consciente de unos “Angeles” o los selfobjects de sus autores teoricos favoritos que fueron generados internamente. Se distinguieron cuatro distintos roles de estos “Angeles”: ayudar a entender al paciente; suministrar ideas sobre como conducir el tratamiento; legitimar y proteger al terapeuta del ataque de otros profesionales; y especialmente, darle apoyo emocional cuando los acontecimientos del tratamiento lo llevan hasta los limites de su resistencia. Le therapeute est devenu conscient de la presence d'“anges”, ou d'objetsois generes interieurement sous la forme de ses theoriciens preferes. Il a discerne quatre roles differents chez ces “anges”: une aide pour comprendre le patient; des propositions des idees sur la conduite du traitement; une validation et une protection contre les attaques des autres professionnels; et specialement, un soutient emotionnel lorsque les evenements du traitement le poussaient aux limites de son endurance. Voila ce qui est illustre dans la presentation de cas. Diese Geschichte berichtet, wie ein Therapeut eine Behandlung, die an vielen Stellen zerstorerisch und unertraglich war, uberlebt hat. In zunehmendem Masse bemerkte der Therapeut “Engel”, oder aus dem Inneren heraus geschaffene Selbstobjekte seiner meistgeschatzten Theoretiker. Er unterscheidet 4 verschiedene Rollen dieser Engel: den Patienten zu verstehen; Ideen zur Verfugung zu stellen, wie man die Behandlung fuhrt; Ihn zu legitimieren und zu beschutzen vor den Angriffen anderer Kollegen; und insbesondere ihn emotional zu unterstutzen, wenn Vorkommnisse in der Behandlung ihn an die Grenze des Ertraglichen fuhrten. All das illustriert die Falldarstellung. Questa e la storia di come un terapeuta sia sopravvissuto all'esperienza di una terapia che in molti momenti e stata devastante e insopportabile. Il terapeuta e giunto alla consapevolezza di “Angeli”, o di oggetti-se generati interiormente dei suoi teorici preferiti. Ha distinto quattro ruoli differenti di questi “Angeli”: aiutare a capire il paziente; fornire idee su come condurre la terapia; legittimarlo e proteggerlo dagli attacchi degli altri colleghi; e soprattutto, sostenerlo quando gli eventi nella terapia lo spingevano ai limiti della sua resistenza. Tutto questo viene illustrato nella presentazione del caso clinico.
