While the increased involvement of health and social service personnel with older clients and their families has been well documented, many professional education programmes have been slow to respond with corresponding curriculum changes. This article describes a three year project undertaken in a Canadian School of Social Work to respond to this need by infusing gerontology throughout the curriculum. The development, implementation and preliminary findings of the project are described and the applicability to other educational programs is discussed. |
