It takes note of the history of The Duke Center; reflects concerns The Center, as well as the nation, has with the difficulty of maintaining interdisciplinary balance in gerontology and geriatrics; the importance of recruiting the "best and the brightest" as future scientists and clinicians in aging; and the need to improve the translation of research results into practice. |
