When administrators leave undergraduates in charge of the library, do they invite legal liability and potential lawsuits? Perhaps, but it is unlikely, especially if staff are well trained, particularly in handling emergency procedures; if conditions that reasonably might be expected to result in harm are eliminated; and if employers take appropriate actions after learning about employee misconduct. As it turns out, the law is rarely contrary to good administrative practices. |
