Contents: The percentage of America's population that is elderly is increasing, and it will continue to increase. Collection development will need to increase in the areas of gerontology and nutrition. Librarians can aid senior citizens by providing them with consumer health information. Aging has drawbacks, of course, but it also has advantages that can be emphasized by positive attitudes. The works cited concern either the positive aspects of aging or ways of coping with the negative aspects.
