Using a retrospective design learning theory was used to predict the rate of commission of offenses, type of offense and degree of resistance to change as a function of the rate that non-action/probation was given for juvenile offenses. Findings indicate type of offense does not predict disposition, and that the most likely disposition for all offenses was non-action/probation. The rate at which probation was given on any one individual was related to the severity of offense and rate of offense commission. |
