Measured frequency responses of the texturing-zone tension and torque are presented and compared with (a) responses in the texturing of fully drawn yarn, and (b) theoretical predictions. A means of determining what proportion of the texturing zone is 'soft' is suggested. The effects on dynamic response of changes in this proportion and in other parameters are discussed in relation to machine design. |
