Measured frequency responses of the texturing-zone tension, torque, and twist due to variations in spindle and feed speed are presented and compared with theoretical predictions. The effects on these responses of changes in length of the cooling zone and of the post-spindle zone are described. The results of experimental checks on the theoretical assumptions are discussed. |
