Contents: In this paper, stress intensity factors around two collinear cracks in an infinite elastic layer bonded by two dissimilar elastic half-planes are obtained under the assumption that uniform heat flow is disturbed by the cracks. Surfaces of the cracks are assumed to be thermally insulated The problem is reduced to that of solving dual integral equations using the Fourier transform technique. To solve the integral equations, the difference of the crack surface temperature and those of the crack surface displacements are expanded in a series of functions that are zero outside the cracks. The unknown coefficients in the series are determined using the Schmidt method Numerical calculations are carried out for the composite materials made of a ceramic half-plane and a steel half-plane bonded by an epoxy resin adhesive.
