Internationalizing the curriculum has been praised as an important means of preparing students for a changing world. Yet students in career and technical programs rarely encounter international content in their coursework. This paper will explore the philosophy behind internationalizing coursework both in general and in career and technical fields, will describe work already done in this area, and will present four modules prepared by Catonsville Community College instructors under a 1988-89 grant from the U.S. Department of Education Title VI Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language Program. |
