The wechsler memory scale: Relations between forms I and II

Title: The wechsler memory scale: Relations between forms I and II
Author: Ivison, D. J.
Appeared in: Australian psychologist
Paging: Volume 23 (1988) nr. 2 pages 219-224
Year: 1988-07-01
Contents: The Wechsler Memory Scale is widely used by clinical psychologists but only Form 1 of the Scale has been adequately researched. Seventy-three subjects enrolled in Psychology 1 at the University of Sydney completed both forms of the Scale in counterbalanced order at the one sitting. The findings indicate that total score on Form 2 is a reasonably good alternative and equivalent of that on Form 1, pending completion of independent norms, and a regression equation is provided to allow testing of predicted versus obtained scores on Form 2. However. relations between the subtests are not consistently in one direction. No significant practice effects from one Form to another were discovered.
