Sediments associated with the Mt Read Volcanics in the Que River area contain fossils that indicate that the Mt Read Volcanics (in part at least) are late Middle Cambrian (Ptychagnostus punctuosus or P. nathorsti Zone) in age, and that they are in part marine. The sediments are defined as the Que River Beds. |
