Four of the ten major societal changes identified by John Naisbitt in his book Megatrends have particular implications for behavioral science education today. The four are the high tech/high touch phenomenon, a continuing need to reconceptualize purposes, the growth of self-help skills, and a concern with more and effective networking. This paper will examine changes in behavioral science education in the light of these trends and suggest some appropriate library responses to the trends. |
