I propose that we, as psychologists, look for a moment at international congresses from the behavioral point of view, i.e., investigate the behavioral act and the psychological situation of men attending a congress. In fact, attending an international congress is for each participant, and for each category of participants, a complex behavioral activity with its own motivations and expectations, its own behavioral setting and surroundings, and therefore also its specific behavioral limitations and possibilities. These motivations and expectations will be different for active as compared to more passive participants, for people coming from abroad as compared to psychologists from the same geographical area, etc.
