It is felt that the cultural background and experience of college of education students is a relatively neglected variable in discussions about college objectives and curricula. This paper describes an attempt to devise a test which will give us some gauge of general cultural knowledge among students. The test devised is a modification of one used successfully in a university department of education. The tests, the modifications and the results among student teachers are reported. |
