Performance testing for monitoring improved biomass stove interventions: experiences of the Household Energy and Health Project 1 1 This paper is one of six describing work done as part of the Household Energy and Health (HEH) Project, coordinated by the Indoor Air Pollution Group at the School of Public Health of the University of California, Berkeley. The other papers, which describe the overall aims of the project, air pollution results from three NGO stove dissemination projects (1 in Mexico and 2 in India), and statistical guidelines for designing field studies, are also found in this issue of Energy for Sustainable Development.
