Inhoud: Accuracy of distance measurement of an object from an observation point such as a stationary or movingvehicle, equipment or person is most important in large number of present day applications. Ultrasonicsensors are most commonly used due to its simplicity and low cost. The accuracy of the measureddistance is dependent on the separation between the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver. This dependencyhas been studied and reported in this paper. The result shows that the accuracy of distance measured isdependent on the separation between the transmitter and the receiver.
