Contents: This paper presents a model for reliable packet delivery in Wireless Sensor Networks based on Discrete Parameter Markov Chain with absorbing state. We have demonstrated the comparison between cooperative and non cooperative automatic repeat request (ARQ) techniques with the suitable examples in terms of reliability and delay in packet transmission.
