The paper presents modeling, controller design and simulation of a PMSM drive. Hysteresis current controller is used for inner loop current control and PI controller for outer loop speed control. A simplified closed loop transfer function has been developed for the proposed drive and complete controller algorithm is given. The stability of the controller is studied for variations in the drive inertia and mechanical damping. The simulation results are shown for the verification of the controller algorithm. |
