Inhoud: Partnering is a cooperative approach to project management that recognizes the importance of all members of the project team, established harmonious working relationships among them, and resolves issues in a timely manner, minimizing impact on project execution. This paper was assessed the perceptions of developers, consultants and contractors on the relative importance of partnering in Malaysian construction industry. This was done by first identifying the problem and objectives of the research through a thorough literature reviewbased on reliable sources, followed by a comprehensive quantitative data collection through questionnaire surveys. The data was then processed using descriptive analysis to tie up with the objectives, followed by formulating of conclusions. The research revealed that, majority of the respondents agreed that, partnering project is a cost effective and it produces a good quality. In addition, the respondents have also agreed that sharing resources, team development, conducting regular meetings and also assessment of all the partners’ performance are important in setting up a partnering relationship.
