Results of the research on pellet production in Austria as well as the influence of consumption on the production are presented. In that sense, the functional relation between pellet production and pellet consumption obtained by modeling method has been given. The basic elements and trends on pellet market are shown and the summary of other factors influencing pellet production in Austria are explained. The choice of Austria as a market to carry out research is due to the fact that Austria is a leader in Europe in pellet production and consumption and its experiences could be significant for the formation of the market and energy policy in Serbia. This adds to the fact that pellet market, as well as the policy in the field of renewable sources of energy (including pellets), in Serbia are still at the very beginning. |
