Inhoud: With the purpose of evaluate the behaviour of a microsprinkler system in the spatial distribution of the depth of appliedwater and their space distribution in the soil, determinations in five lots Tahiti (Citrus latifolia Tanaka)were carried out fieldon Ultisol soils in the area of Oritupano, municipality of Maturín, of the Monagas state. To collect the volume of appliedwater 45 pluviometers at both sides of the distribution pipelines were placed inside the area corresponding to three plants ona grid of 1 m x 1 m. On the same points the content of humidity was determined in situ to a depth between 5 and 10 cm witha digital meter of humidity. It was determined the bulk density and the porosity through non altered samples. A differentialbehaviour was observed in the evaluated lots, so much of the depth of water applied as of the humidity of the soil that whichwas attributed to head losses of charge due to fails on system design. The overlapping among emitters and the most uniformdistribution in the water applied by the microirrigation system was obtained in the nearest lots to the source of water, whilein the far away lots overlapping was not observed and they were deficiencies in the distribution of the water in the soil. They were not differences as for apparent density, porosity and macroporosity in the valued lots.
