A study was conducted during the year 2008 in the state of Haryana (India) by interviewing a total numbers of 80 farm and the study revealed that reasons for developing agri-tourism were easy to enter (62.50%), high profit (81.25%), employment opportunity (75.00%), no competition (37.50%). Promotion of agri-tourism were putting hoarding on roadsides (82.50%), through internet web sites (62.50%), advertisement in newspaper (37.50%), and local TV channel (18.75%).Agri-tourism contributes sustainability for agri business: proper planning generates various sources of income (95.00%), agri tourism help farmers enhancing their knowledge (87.50%), beneficial for small farmers who have less soil productivity (90.00%). Agri-tourism increases income as it is a new enterprise with less competition (96.25%), it is business activity as compared to traditional farming (93.75%), less land with low productivity can give more returns (90.00%), provides employment to farmers of wide rang (85.00%).Agri-tourism helpful in maintain natural resources as nutrient mining is less and soil conservation is good (93.25%), deforestations should be avoided (92.25%), no pollution problems to environment (97.25%).Additional income from farm (96.25%), agri-tourism is better for health and environment (96.25%), it provides local heritage and culture to tourist (90.00%) were reported better prospects in Agri-tourism by the farmers. Lack of funds for publicity and advertisement of farm-tourism (96.25%), less number of visitors (93.75 %), Lack of technology to develop farm-tourism (93.75 %), lack of motivation (86.25 %), inadequate price for farm products/ activities (88.75 %) were reported as major constraints in establishing agri-tourism. Environmental management (96.25 %), nursery production (93.75 %), fruit and vegetable value addition (93.75 %), were preferred areas of training of the farmers for establishing farm tourism.
