Contents: Recently, the embryo-transfer has won very much in popularity, although theprocess itself doesn’t represent a novelty. The main stage in an embryotransferprogramme is represented by the superovulatory treatment. Thesuccess of this stage means the obtaining of a large number of oocytes, andtheoretical, a large number of embryos, which justify at list from theeconomical point of view the realization of an embryo-transfer programme. In this context, the present study has followed the ovarian response to thesuperovulatory treatment. For the realization of this purpose there weremade superovulatory treatments with PMSG (pregnant mare serumgonadotrophin) in a dairy cattle group from Bălţată Românească breed. Theanimals were kept in tight system maintenance at the S.C.D.P. Jucu farm. The alimentation of the animals was performed with a ration based onvolume fodder and concentrates. In these conditions we’ve obtained anaverage of 19 CL (corpus lutea) per animal.
