Sedimentation is the separation of suspended particles from water by gravitational setting. In this paper, concentration of suspended particles in fresh water is considered for sedimentation process that is modeled by mass balance equation. The solution approach is based on the inflow-outflow concentrations and sizes of the suspended particles in the water. Experimental tests are performed in the Gaziantep City water treatment system and the data derived from the system are used in simulation. Experimental results and simultaneous results are compared to outline the characteristics of the real system. |
