Objective: To determine by means of statistical tests the characteristics of patients with keratoconous or keratoconus suspects that may be taken to surgery for correction of their refractive error with refractive surgery. Methods: A review of literature was done, with a critical evaluation to determine the validity of the studies, looking for the best evidences in order to apply them clinically. Results: All of the patients with a diagnosis of keratoconus suspects must be submitted to a special assessment by orbscan topography. Conclusions: Some of the patients with diagnosis of keratoconus suspects may be taken to refractive surgery. |
