In order to characterize and to evaluate the current botanical knowledge in urban zones, not often approached by ethnobotany, and by means of its methodology, different products of vegetal origin used as therapeutic have been studied, as well as the constituent plants. It was possible to conclude that the users have a hybrid knowledge (product of traditional wisdom combined with information of diverse nature) whereas the commercialization is generally based on the requirements of the market and under the common name of the plant, becoming indispensable to identify the ¿complexes¿ of plants that are found under a same label. |
