Contents: A disposable biosensor for alcohol based on alcohol dehydrogenase and screenprintingelectrodes is described. The mediator of the electron transfer is Meldola Blue includedin the graphite ink. The applied potential is + 50 mV vs. Ag/AgCl. The biosensor was tested withvery good results for ethanol determination in beverages.
