Some new tetracoordinated Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II) complexes with theSchiff base derived from 5-formyl vanillin and sulphanilamide (AH) and1-(2`-benzthyazolyl)-3-methyl-pyrazol-5-one) (BH) have been synthesized and characterized.The complexes were formulated as mononuclear species with the general formula [MAB] on thebasis of chemical analyses, molar conductance and IR spectral data. The stereochemistry of thecomplexes has been proposed on the basis of electronic data. The magnetic moments at roomtemperature agree with the proposed stereochemistry. |
