Aromatization of C6 hydrocarbons (hexane isomers and cyclohexane) was performedon a Zn/H(Na,K)L zeolite. Increasing temperature favors aromatization reactions, but leads tointense cracking. Zinc modifier promotes direct dehydrogenation leading to benzene, butreactions that lead to aromatics also take place on the acid sites remained in the zeolite.Cyclohexane is the reaction intermediate in the direct dehydrogenation pathway. |
