A necessidade de instituir a dimensão ambiental nos currículos escolares em todos os níveis de ensino põe em cena um debate entre duas correntes políticas: a dos ambientalistas, que julgam que a sociedade sustentável tem por meta a riqueza natural; e a que considera a natureza como meio para a vida humana. A primeira concepção sustenta-se em metáforas orgânicas, sendo a mais saliente a de que ambiente saudável está para a saúde do corpo assim como os problemas ambientais estão para as enfermidades. Tal concepçãoafirma que as necessidades humanas são apenas as vitais, considerando as demais como variações sem hierarquia (CICLO DO TEMPO); ao mesmo tempo, sustenta ser necessária maior produtividade, pelo que estabelece uma hierarquia entre modos de produzir arcaico e o ambientalmente saudável (SETA DO TEMPO).The need of instituting the environmental dimension in the school curricula introduces a debate between two political tendencies: that of environmentalists who think that sustainable society has natural richness as a goal; and that which considers nature as means for humanlife. The first concept is based on organic metaphors; the most highlighted one is that a healthy environment contributes to the body’s health, and that environmental problems are related to infirmities. This concept states that human needs are only the vital ones; the others are variations, without any hierarchy (TIME CYCLE). At the same time it sustains that greater productivity, is needed. A hierarchy is established between archaic (TIME ARROW) ways of producing and environmentally healthy ones. |
