Optimalization of energy consumption in biological clearing of municipal waste water

Title: Optimalization of energy consumption in biological clearing of municipal waste water
Author: Schröder Reinhard
Augustínová Edita
Appeared in: Acta Montanistica Slovaka
Paging: Volume 4 (1999) nr. 3 pages 261-264
Year: 1999
Contents: The biological sewage purification is a technology which has been applied for many decades. The nature of the living space determines the basic applicability of natural, semi-technical and technical processes. The Necessary adaption of control techniques is performed by means of measurements which will, for example, change reaction times, recirculation flows or oxygen concentrations, in order to set the required optimum of surrounding conditions in the activated sludge basins. The new measuring device (BioBalance) will warrant both the further optimization of the biological activated sludge process and the further stabilization of the operational sequens, since the activity of the activated sludge is an important measurable variable to be used in the on-line operation for controlling the SymBio-procedure.
