There are some important groundwater sources, supplying drinking water for inhabitants in the East - Slovakian region. The groundwater source near the village Lekárovce, situated in the water- bearing sandy gravel strata of a river Uh alluvium, is one of them. The source had been utilised intensively from 1961 and because of the long-standing exploitation three of its five wells depreciated. Three new wells, which hydrodynamical tests were realized on, were prepared for the revival purposes. A proposal for a sustained retrieval of the groundwater, based on the results of tests and analytical calculations and mathematical modelling, was given. It is recommended in given conditions to realize the retrieval of an groundwater amount of 30,0 liters per second for drinking purposes.
