One of the most significant developments in drilling technology over the last years has been the introduction of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) as macro-cutting elements in the rotary drill application. This paper gives a summary of core bits and cutter bits, produced by Pramet umperk Co., which are fit with these PCD elements. Some results, obtained with these types of cutter bits by drilling in mines of Ostrava-Karviná Basin, are also presented. |
