Didactic skill training in clinical practice techniques is insufficient to assist first line child protective supervisors in the difficult task of changing a child welfare organization's culture to emphasize the therapeutic aspects of intervention. Supervisors need assistance in personal growth based on accurate feedback from performance. When such feedback is coupled with targeted individual development plans, evidence from a two year intervention demonstrates that significant behavioral changes do occur and these can be linked to organizational outcomes. |
