Title: Buddy, Can You Spare a Job? Getting a Hospital Library Job in the New Millennia
Author: Schott, Michael
Appeared in: Journal of hospital librarianship
Paging: Volume 6 (2006) nr. 1 pages 31-40
Year: 2006-05-01
Contents: Before one can be a hospital librarian, one must get a job. First job seekers are not the only ones in need. Hospital librarians can be victims of downsizing or ready to transition to another position. A spouse may have to relocate. For a myriad of reasons, librarians must work the job market, find a position, apply for that position and go to interviews. The skills needed to successfully meet these challenges have changed over the years. Librarians, who are new to the job market or have been out of the job market for a while, must learn the process to be successful in a job search.
