Contents: The objective of this article is to furnish insights on the employment of scripts in assisting hospitality and tourism managers to select the topics which could be encompassed in employee training programs. The discussion covers the necessity for training in the industry and relates how scripts can be useful in choosing beneficial training topics. In addition it presents a depiction of the steps involved in devising and validating scripts and sets forth an example of the application of these processes in planning a training program.
