In responding to Fensham's suggestion for a change of driver for developing new curricula in school science, I comment on (1) the support needed for a curriculum driven by societal experts— education of science teachers about social aspects of science and about how to agree on the content; (2) unintentional contributions to the existing problem—namely, science educators' lack of engagement in the educational-political interface; and (3) my own research agenda. |
