Title: An alternative stream-sampling method useful in contaminated areas
Author: Qvarfort, Ulf
Appeared in: GFF
Paging: Volume 99 (1977) nr. 1 pages 72-74
Year: 1977-03-31
Contents: The present paper deals with the use of stream sediment for geochemical prospecting in contaminated areas. The method developed was tested and evaluated in connection with a stream that drains a tailing dump and another that drains a weak mineralization. From the results, it is concluded that a modified stream-sampling method may be useful when prospecting in contaminated areas. The method is based on the drilling of bore-holes parallel to the flow in the banks of the stream.
