The diversified growth of interest in national and world broadcasting is indicated in this revision of the Journal article for which more reprints have been requested than any other. Its first appearance in the Summer 1961 issue showed publications in 19 languages and listed over 500 then-published titles. This revision discusses publications in 22 languages, and being even more selective (perhaps a third of existing titles), notes just over 350. The two versions deal with different countries in many cases, so readers are advised to check the earlier bibliography (keeping in mind it is over a decade old) for countries and agencies not lined here. This revision has been presented in a more standard bibliographic form for easier reference, so all periodicals (official and private) are listed in one alphabetical presentation for each country. Dr. Kenneth Harwood is Professor and Dean of the School of Communications and Theater at Temple University. |
