Inhoud: Much of the news that is important to the viewers of and listeners to American broadcasting stations originates in the various state capitols. In most states, because of relatively short legislative sessions, most news originates with the governor and his staff. The importance of broadcasting to state governors is documented, in the following report. It describes the results of a survey of all state governors, made with the cooperation of the National Governor's Conference. The report covers the services and facilities offered to the broadcast media by the governors of all but three of the 50 states, as well as their attitudes toward radio and television coverage of the activities of their offices.
