Faculty publication are reflection of research activity at a medical school and are thus very important. When a more organized and detailed record of faculty productivity was desired at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, manual methods as well as generic database manger were seen as too cumbersome. Instead, automating the collection using Sci-Mate, tm since it will accept downloaded citations, was seen as the more efficient solution to producing and keeping eh list up-to-date. This article will discuss the design and the methods used to create the database. |
