Contents: Bibliographies are used in reference work to verify citations, compile subject reading lists and examine legal publications accordine to certain variables. The availabilitv of large computerized biblGgraphic databases to respond to the& needspresents a challenge to the traditional print bibliographic sources. This article examinesthe major print sources and explores their present role. New approaches to the definition of the scope and coverage of legal bibliographies are discussed in an effort to identify and suggest sources t 1at will expand the information available to librarians and researchers and will themselves enhance legal scholarship.
