This paper examines the effects of a mini-course on aging given to third grade children. A questionnaire was devised for pre- and post-testing in two classes, one serving as the experimental group and the other as the control. The mini-course was designed to effect a change in the young children's perceptions of the elderly and the aging process and relied heavily upon intergenerational experiences. Positive statistical results suggest that professionals should encourage education for aging in all possible settings. |
