Multidisciplinary continuing education programs in the field of aging are difficult to plan. Cosponsors can provide the knowledge and expertise needed to assist planners to increase the likelihood that their programs will be successful and produce positive outcomes. This paper describes a model for working successfully with cosponsors. Topics include planning for cosponsorship, implementing the cosponsorship plan, and marketing and conducting the program. The design and format of this education model are highly manageable and easily replicated. With increasing interest in multidisciplinary collaboration, this model is applicable to many other areas of multidisciplinary program development in the field of aging. |
