This article is a qualitative study that identifies the need for diagnostic work before implementation of diversity initiatives. It is also a discussion of the development of an assessment instrument used to collect and report data from three pilot groups using the instrument. The goal of implementing diversity initiatives is to establish long-term strategies that will bring about positive change in human interaction in changing organizational culture in the workplace. To achieve this, it is important to assess where we are, and envision how the organization should continue to grow and change. |
