We studied the deep-seated structure of the ultrabasic belts of Armenia with the aid of apparatus of the “Zemlya” type. The seismic data reveal regions of areal distribution of rocks of the ophiolite zones, their possible dimensions, and also deep-seated faults that control these structures. Earthquake records indicate that active tectonic movement has continued in these zones until the present time.—Authors. |
